Class Styles

Vinyasa/ Flow : is a sequence of asanas or poses usually centered around the Surya Namaskar (sun salutation) and linked to the rhythm of the breath.  These classes may be slow (Mellow) or faster (Power) paced depending on the instructor, but they have in common consistent timing and movement of the body and the breath.

Forrest : Developed by Ana Forrest for over 30 years, Forrest Yoga address’s Our People's stresses and challenges, both physical and emotional. A very traditional Hatha yoga, we work with a focus on breath, abdominal strengthening, and sequencing that prevents & heals injury while building a highly conscious and fun practice.

Iyengar : emphasizes correct alignment of all the parts of the body within each yoga pose. This precision builds strength and stamina, balance and flexibility, and a new sense of well-being. Achieving meditation in action, students learn to exist fully and vibrantly in the present moment.  Using their deep-seated knowledge of the yoga asanas (postures), Iyengar Yoga teachers individualize their approach for each student and special adjustments are made
for various body types, injuries, and conditions such as pregnancy and menstruation.
