My name is Vivek Nautiyal, I recently moved to the Bay Area from the beautiful country of Georgia in Eastern Europe. I am originally from Rishikesh India and have been a yoga practitioner for 10 years and yoga instructor for 5 years.
I started my yoga teaching at a yoga training center in Rishikesh with focus on mantra chanting, Ashtanga series, dynamic Hatha flow, vinyasa flow as well as Iyengar inspired alignment-centric classes. In 2014, I was recruited to join a prominent yoga center in Tbilisi where I became the headline teacher at the biggest yoga studio in Georgia. In addition to teaching at the yoga studio, I also went on national TV show regularly including a daily 5 minutes early morning yoga workout. I was also honored with the privilege to lead the first International Yoga Day class with over 300 participants.
As a yoga teacher, I like to infuse playfulness and lightness into my instructions to encourage my students to find inner happiness and eternal bliss. For me, yoga is not just about doing Asanas but it is a commitment to a lifestyle of balance and contentment. Yoga is not just a workout to get fit but the main idea is to find yourself comfortable in uncomfortable situations.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to be a yoga teacher which enables me to help students find harmony, feel comfortable, and enjoy Yoga as a powerful tool to connect the body, mind and spirit.
