Network chiropractic refers to a network of independent chiropractic offices utilizing Network Spinal Analysis (N.S.A.), a profound sequence of spinal evaluations and adjusting techniques. This "system" approach to the spine and nervous system has gained rapid popularity with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Research has documented the following benefits by individuals who underwent Network Care:

  • Improved flexibility.
  • Increased inner awareness.
  • Improved quality of life.

NSA is a cutting edge technique that is revolutionizing and creating the gold standard for the wellness model paradigm.  Using the most recent understandings of the nervous system and physics, NSA is a very gentle yet powerful technique that holds the potential of truly transforming a person’s life. Through specific contacts along the spine, patterns of stress that have been locked in the nervous system, keeping one stuck in a state of defense , are able to be released and transformed into fuel for growth.  Many times these patterns go back many years and as they resolve, people begin to discover who they really are and of what they are truly capable. As the hooks of previous events and experiences are removed, many find they develop a sense of empowerment along with a resolution of symptoms.  As the body no longer has to use energy inefficiently to keep old unhealthy memories and patterns alive, there is now more energy left for healing and living.  As the mind opens to new experiences and opportunities, the body also opens ready and willing to jump in and say yes to full participation in life.

Gentle contacts along the spine initiate the removal of interference to the nervous system's tension and function. The brain and spinal cord are one connected unit. The spinal cord, as it passes through the neck and back, is the main conduit for energy relay and coordination from the brain. Vital spinal nerves emanate from the cord, pass through openings between the vertebrae, and relay the life force directed by your innate intelligence. By means of an extensive network of nerves, your innate intelligence (inborn wisdom) coordinates all functions and regenerates and animates all body parts. Every cell of the body is stirred by its reception of vital life energy. Health is a function of the quantity and quality of nerve messages.

Individuals with a clear and flexible nervous system are better able to deal with their life challenges. They adapt to changes more easily and are better able to heal their illnesses and bounce back from injuries. Misalignment of the spinal cord, nerves, and vertebrae can create mechanical tension. This may interfere with the flow of vital life force and the coordination of all life processes. When this occurs, we speak of vertebral subluxation. Your Chiropractor will detect and correct the interference. Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) was developed by Dr. Donald Epstein ( see scientific publication ), who teaches NSA to chiropractors across the nation and throughout the world.

With alignment, you are at your most
productive, dynamic, and creative level
of performance.

In an abstract by Robert H. I. Blanks, Ph.D., Tonya L. Schuster, Ph.D., and Marnie Dobson, B.A. of the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, College of Medicine, Department of Sociology, University of California, the following assessment can be found:

Network Care is founded on the premise that individuals free of the complex of factors precipitating from, or leading to, vertebral subluxation experience a greater range of inherent adaptability and, hence, a greater sense of relative health or wellness. An example of this is when someone who typically catches 2-3 colds a year may not catch colds after having received Network Care. People who frequently experience lower back pain may notice their quick recovery from a strain in an hour or a day. The recovery period for a similar occurrence under the same circumstances used to take 1-2 weeks. Patients notice changes in digestive disorders, a decrease or ending of PMS symptoms, disappearance of allergies, headaches go away and surgeries are cancelled; most feel better overall in health and well being.

Network Care evokes spontaneous self-perpetuating contractions of the paraspinal musculature. The movement may be subtle, barely perceptible, or very obvious and may involve arms and legs. Over a period of seven months, physiological and psychological changes have been observed clinically, including increased flexibility of the spine, increased range of motion, improved mood and sense of relaxation, self-reported "wellness," and greater capacity to cope with stressful situations. These observations provide a basis for considering that Network Care involves mind-body interactions.

Vertebral Subluxation

Structural subluxations are caused by physical or mechanical stresses on the body. We speak of "pinched nerves" from which the body could not easily recover. Facilitated subluxations result from the elongation or twisting of the spinal cord and its surrounding nervous tissue. This is most likely associated with emotional, mental, or chemical stress from which the body-mind could not recover. Vertebral subluxations are caused by stresses in the environment, especially physical, chemical, mental, or emotional stresses. Our brain and body can handle an enormous amount of stress. However, the capacity to deal successfully with everyday stresses varies from person to person. Beyond a certain point, the system becomes overloaded. The moment the nervous system is unable to deal with the stress it receives, vertebral subluxation occurs. Elongation, twisting, or compression of the system causes persistent misalignment of the spinal vertebrae. The nervous system is disrupted and looses its natural ability to assemble and sort out neurological instructions. The messages sent from the nervous system to the body cells become distorted. The person with a "stressed out" nervous system will not be able to respond well to the numerous challenges in the environment.
